The Bold and the Beautiful and The Young and the Restless are on fire this summer, having both hit major ratings milestones during the second quarter of the year.

Summer 2015 is hot, hot, hot for CBS Daytime. Not only have The Talk, The Price is Right, and Let's Make a Deal hit high points during the second quarter of the year, but both The Bold and the Beautiful and The Young and the Restless have, as well.

According to an official CBS press release as well as an article in Variety, The Young and the Restless officially took the lead as the most-watched daytime program when it inched ahead of The Price is Right with 5.16 million viewers over the game show's 5.06. That's a 7% increase over last year's numbers and the soap's largest second-quarter audience in five years. Interestingly, the audience surge came in the form of young viewers: compared to last year, Y&R is up 16% in women 18-34 and 14% in women 18-49.

The Bold and the Beautiful is also boasting some respectable numbers. It garnered its biggest second quarter audience since 2006 with an average total of 3.95 viewers, a 5% increase over last year.
